Is online notarization legal in my state?
Over 40 states have permanent RON laws. More importantly, almost all states universally accept documents notarized legally by an out-of-state online notary under the Full Faith and Credit Clause. Always check with your receiving agency.
You need a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a working webcam and microphone, a strong internet connection, and your physical US government-issued ID.
You will electronically sign the document by typing or drawing your signature during the secure video session while the notary observes.
